In this virtual session, Sandy Kennedy will interview Ruari Fairbairns, Co-Founder and CEO of One Year No Beer, who has recently been named Great British Entrepreneur of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

One Year No Beer closed their latest funding round in August this year, with 125% of the target funds raised. 100% of the funding target (£1.4M) was reached within the first 24 hours of the campaign going live and together 512 investors raise £1,756,563 for the biggest online support business in the UK.

In this particular session we will be focusing on raising investment and funding and learning how Ruari’s ambition and drive has helped thousands of people around the world change their relationship with alcohol.

One Year No Beer is a behaviour change programme and online toolkit for surviving modern society alcohol-free, aimed at anyone drinking more than 3 glasses of wine a week. We help people change their relationship with alcohol which leads to most of them fundamentally transforming their lives - for the better. We are developing technology that will enable members to connect over their common goals, such as caffeine, sugar, gambling, social media, ultimately empowering our members to help the world live life better.
